The Gibson/Sullivan Family and Hill Family are proud to sponsor this transport in loving memory of Jeffery James Sullivan, who passed away July 2017, at the age of 29. Jeff’s love of animals began at a young age. He begged for a dog for two years before receiving his beloved Golden Retriever, Tanner, at the age of nine. Although Jeff had a relative who raised dogs, he recognized the importance of adopting rescue dogs and chose to do so as an adult. Jeff and his girlfriend Morgan adopted two rescue dogs, Jaxson and Buddha, who they fell in love with. The dogs reciprocated the love and affection given to them. Jeff was very supportive of the rescue/adoption opportunities for all dogs and dog lovers. It is our hope that his deep love of life and animals is transferred to any adopted animal through play, laughter, and companionship. He would be so happy to know that dogs were saved in his name! Bella was born about January 24, 2016 and weighs about 9 lbs. She is adorable and extremely friendly. She is wonderful with other dogs and did come with a dog buddy so it would be best if she is with another in her future. Here are notes from her vet appointment: Bella's eyes are abnormal. There is a blue hazy appearance to both eyes, and her corneas appear abnormal. Bella had a flouroscein stain that was negative for scratches or abrasions. Her eye pressures were checked with a Tonovet instrument, and the pressure on the left is 21, and right is 23, both of which are normal. Corneal endothelial degeneration is suspected. To obtain a definitive diagnosis, a consult with an ophthalmologist would be helpful. We are hoping that we'll find someone to help us with this cost or even better if there is someone out there willing to adopt her as is and love her for what she is. This is really all we know so far, sadly, because he was home owned and his human mom had to make a sudden move a few states away. So we will be learning as we go and so will you.
